Snowmass is home to events all summer long, ranging from bike races to music festivals and everything in between. Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, Snowmass has something in store for you.
There are too many things happening this summer to list here, but here are a few of our favorites coming up.
5K on the Mountain – Colorado Brewery Series
Beer and running are two things Colorado does well. Combine the two and you have an event fit for Snowmass. Runners will compete in a mellow 5K run throughout the Snowmass trail network and end at New Belgium for a beer after party.
Snowmass Doubles Volleyball Tournament
Grab a partner and compete in the beach volleyball tournament July 25th-28th. This event is for both amateurs and pros alike. You’ll play multiple rounds of volleyball surrounded by the Elk Mountains in the center of Snowmass Village.
This intense race is not for the faint-hearted. Spartan comes to Snowmass for the first time ever August 3rd-4th. Competitors of all ages and abilities are welcome, yet be ready for a challenge. Participants will race through obstacle courses of various sizes and difficulties.
Audi Power of Four MTB Race
One part of the prestigious Power of Four race, bikers will travel across all four mountains in Aspen Snowmass. There are various levels for all types of competitors but again, this race is a challenge regardless. Participants come from around the world to compete in the Power of Four and whether you’re racing or just watching, it is an event to behold.
There are a few events that happen every week, all year long. Take advantage of these fun activities going on throughout June, July and August.
Snowmass Free Concert Series
Every Thursday (and a handful of Saturdays) all summer long, there is a free concert in the grass on Fanny Hill. For locals and visitors alike, it’s a perfect way to wind down after a big down exploring the mountains. Music ranges from classic rock to reggae and is always family friendly. Watch the sunset from the hill while you relax with family and friends.
The longest standing rodeo in Colorado is a great outing for both young and old. Every Wednesday, come down and watch some of the American West’s best cowboys bull riding and the brave kids try their own at Mutton Bustin’. Enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner before the event and roast some marshmallows after.
Farm to Table Tuesdays
Catch the Elk Camp Gondola to the Elk Camp Restaurant on Snowmass and enjoy a delightful evening under the stars atop the mountain. Have dinner with all locally sourced ingredients and join in on the wide array of family-friendly games and activities. In addition to the Farm to Table Dinner, the Snowmass Bike Park will run until sunset for those looking for some adrenaline.
